Welcome! I'm Ayanna, a visual artist, designer and photographer, balancing the roles of wife + mother of two teenagers. Art has been my lifelong passion, from the moment I could hold a pen and paper as a child. At the age of 10, I stumbled upon my father's camera and instantly fell in love with capturing the beauty, and intricate play of light and shadows that fascinated me.
For the past 18 years, I have immersed myself in the world of fashion as a handbag and clothing designer, channeling my creativity into wearable art. Recently, however, I've expanded my focus towards exploring other avenues of expression, including painting and photography.
Currently, I am exploring textures of natural fibers and incorporating these fabrics into my artwork as well as adding my artwork to a limited collection of clothing designs. Nature, light, shadow and texture continue to serve as my muse, alongside the values of authenticity, kindness and self-improvement.
